Events - Ticket Types
In Freedom, you have the freedom to create various ticket types for an event, allowing for differentiation based on factors such as price (e.g., adults vs. children or members vs. non-members).
How to Create Multiple Ticket Types
To create multiple ticket types for your event, follow these steps:
- Go to the Tickets tab within the event.
- Within the Tickets tab, you'll find a subtab labeled Types. This is where you can create different ticket types.

- Click the +Ticket Type button to generate a new type. Please note that certain fields (Ticket Type, Name, Price) are required and indicated in bold.

While creating new ticket types, you can optionally assign specific web access or apply restrictions if necessary.
You can also specify the duration of the ticket by selecting the start and end dates and times for availability.
Additionally, you have the option to set both a minimum and maximum number of tickets that a user can purchase per order, as well as establish a total inventory quantity.
Ticket Options
While the above information is useful for setting up event ticket types, it is important to discuss ticket options.
Ticket options can be specific to the type of ticket the user has registered for. As an example, if we want to add a field on the registration form for all users who sign up for the RSVP ticket type to also provide us their T-Shirt size for a free T-Shirt as a thank you, we can do so by following these steps.
-
Navigate to the options subtab.
- Create a new option

- After creating the new option, as shown in the example below,

- Save.
Now that you have created a new ticket option, you need to add it to the already created ticket types (If you have them).
-
Navigate to the types tab.

- Edit the ticket type you would like to include the additional option on.

- Make sure that the option at the bottom is checked for the new custom (repeat field).
- Save!
Now all registrations for the ticket type (RSVP) will have the additional ticket option included on the registration form.
