Unable to Embed Video into Email Marketing Campaign

The current industry standard that Email Clients are using, does not support embedding videos, such as YouTube videos, directly into the body of an Email Marketing Campaign. Accrisoft Freedom also does not support the inclusion of embedded videos in Email Marketing Campaigns.

This is due to limited support across email clients and potential deliverability issues. Most email clients, such as Microsoft Outlook and Gmail, do not support embedded video playback.

Instead, a widely adopted and effective approach is to include a video thumbnail image within your email that links to the video hosted on an external platform or your website. Here's how you can implement this strategy:

  1. Create a Video Thumbnail: Capture a compelling still image from your video. Enhance this image by overlaying a play button icon, signaling to recipients that clicking the image will play the video.

  2. Insert the Thumbnail into Your Email: Within your email template, add the thumbnail image in the desired location. Ensure the image aligns with your email's design and is appropriately sized for various devices.

  3. Link the Thumbnail to the Video: Hyperlink the thumbnail image to the video's URL. This could be a page on your website where the video is embedded or a platform like YouTube or Vimeo. When recipients click the thumbnail, they will be directed to the video.

For added engagement, consider using an animated GIF as the thumbnail. This GIF can showcase a brief preview of the video, providing a dynamic element that can entice recipients to click through.

By employing this method, you can effectively incorporate video content into your email marketing campaigns without encountering compatibility issues associated with direct video embedding.
