Pages vs. Web Pages modules

Freedom currently has two modules specifically used for building webpages. This article will discuss the differences between the two modules: Pages and Web Pages.

Let's start with Web Pages:

The Web Pages module is a simple way to build out webpages. Once you are creating a webpage in this module, you will be using the WYSIWYG editor (What You See Is What You Get) and HTML. It means that what you add to the editor, that is what you will be seeing on the webpage. The main way to adding content to a webpage in the Web Pages module is in the Visual tab and/or the HTML tab.

Moving on to the Pages module:

The Pages module is known to be more elaborate and updated than the Web Pages module. The Pages module makes use of Components. On the more updated versions of Freedom, sites will have the Pages module and will be given a set of Components. Components allows for more creative and dynamic webpages. You have the ability to select any component type and add it to any Page. Along with that, there isn't a limit to the amount of components that can be added to a single page. This makes it more efficient when updating and making edits to Pages. Here are a few examples of Components:

- Component - Photo Boxes

- Component - Header

- Component - Testimonials

- Component - Quick Links
