Pages vs. Web Pages modules
Freedom includes two modules for building webpages: Web Pages and Pages. This article explains the differences between them to help you determine which to use.
Web Pages module
The Web Pages module is a straightforward way to create and publish pages. Content is added using a WYSIWYG editor (What You See Is What You Get) or directly in HTML. What you add in the editor is what will appear on the webpage.
Pages module
The Pages module is a more robust and flexible option. It uses Components — modular content blocks that allow for more creative and dynamic page layouts. Advantages of the Pages module include:
- Components can be mixed and matched on any page.
- There is no limit to the number of components on a single page.
- Content is easier to update and rearrange compared to Web Pages.
Examples of available component types: Photo Boxes, Header, Testimonials, and Quick Links.
